Open Day #2

Since the last open day in September there has been a lot of interest in Augustine Academy. We are going to host another, for all those who didn’t make it to the first one.

The open day will be a great opportunity for potential students and parents to meet the academic staff and the other future students. There will also be time for the students to explore the campus, and time for the parents to ask any questions they might have about the course.

The day will begin with a guided tour of the campus at 1:30pm, followed by a short talk by our philosophy lecturer Robert van Gend. He will discuss the value of a Liberal Arts Education. After the talk there will be an afternoon tea and a game of ultimate Frisbee.

Augustine Academy Director, Ben McCabe, will then explain the Academy’s vision and talk about the structure of course and the integrated nature of the subjects.

At the end of the talk there will be an opportunity for questions.

The open day will be held this coming Monday 30th November.

The day will begin at 1:30 and will conclude at approximately 4:30pm.

Meet at: St Mary’s Towers Retreat Centre, 415 Douglas Park Drive, Douglas Park NSW

(Once you have come down the long driveway, veer right at the end. You will see a purple building on your right. That is where the open day will be held. But call me if you cannot find it.)

The Douglas Park train station is only 2 minutes away. If you need picking up from the train station, do not hesitate to ask me.

For catering purposes please RSVP by Saturday 28th November
